PRESS RELEASE

The Dover Federation for the Arts Multi-Academy Trust rebrands to:

Samphire Star Education Trust

We are delighted to share both our Trust vision and our rebranding with you. We are a Trust of four schools, Astor Secondary School, Barton Junior School, Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School and White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School and we have evolved on a journey in recent years where our status, leadership and name has changed.

We are in great shape as a Trust and to better reflect this we have moved on and rebranded and set a clear vision:

INSPIRE creative, exciting, accessible learning

BELIEVE in a brighter and better future

ACHIEVE and thrive

We know that the government intends on all schools being part of Trusts such as ours. With our vision and ethos, we are confident that we will grow Samphire Star Education Trust and go from strength to strength.

The Trust has a unique approach to collegiate working for the mutual benefit of all pupils and staff, while each school retains its individual character.  With the sharing of expertise and best practice we provide the best possible educational outcomes for the children in our care and the communities we serve.  We have a single moral purpose to advance education for the public benefit and provide more opportunities for our pupils and staff through bringing our passion for development to life.

All our schools have been recognised locally and nationally as having many strengths in the way they support the local communities and enhance the education of thousands of children.  Our Trust offers a truly ‘joined up’ all-through education from age 2 to 19 along with strong Trust central support services.

The national education scene has changed dramatically over recent years and is set for more change with the release of the recent White Paper on education. Samphire Star Education Trust embraces the vision to welcome schools to become part of our unique family.

Barry Williams, Chair of the Trust Board, states:

Our rebranding reflects the need for Trusts to be #TrulyCivic and to embed exciting plans to extend educational opportunities for all.

David Meades, CEO of the Trust states:

“The rebranding has further established the Trust as an outward looking civic leader.  Our schools and dedicated staff continue to support our families and community in providing excellent education and pastoral care and to further the Trust’s Vision in enabling our communities to thrive by giving children the best opportunities to learn inside and outside the classroom
